	Microbial Contamination Indoor Air Quality HVAC Systems Boroscopic Inspection Asbestos and Lead        Isolating the source of a health concern in a building is often more difficult than producing the solution. EEI offers a broad range of highly specific inspection services to identify the problem area before they become major hazards.        Depending on the type of problem, EEI consultants can quickly conduct an inspection with minimal disruption, utilizing the most effective analytical or sampling techniques. We then share those results with you, clearly outlining the potential risk to occupants and making recommendations for further action.        Indoor Air Quality Inspection. Because the causes of indoor air quality are among the most difficult to identify, EEI's Indoor Air Quality Team draws upon its integrated expertise in environmental science, biology, chemistry, and laboratory work to identify trouble spots and known irritants. Applying a full range of test methods using state of the art computerized monitoring equipment, our IAQ Team gathers data at various times of the day under different conditions. Armed with our analyses and recommendations, you can then make informed choices.        Biological Organisms Inspection. Extended exposure to biological organisms can result in the development of chronic health and respiratory problems. Microbial problems are one of the most hazardous but also easily remediated categories of indoor pollutants. Determining the solution calls for rigorous analytical techniques. EEI's inspection includes identification of fungal spores, bacteria, animal dander, dust mites, and less common organisms. Assessing the potential risk to occupants, we can then offer the best options for further action.        HVAC Systems Inspection. To find the cause of potential contamination in air delivery systems, EEI inspectors utilize boroscopic, visual, or swipe sampling techniques. One of the most sophisticated devices of its type, EEl's boroscope permits viewing deeply within your air delivery system, walls, and other recesses.        With the boroscope we can document with still photography or video tape. These techniques can be used to visually identify sources of contamination, or provide post-abatement documentation. If requested, we will also inspect for possible cross-contamination sources, such as lead, asbestos, and other potentially hazardous materials. Following inspection and sampling, our stringently selected laboratories analyze samples for contaminants such as molds, mildews, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).        Asbestos and Lead Inspection. If there is suspicion of the presence of asbestos or lead containing materials, EEI performs, surveys, collects bulk samples, and submits them for detailed analysis. Using both X-ray fluorescent and sodium technology, our trained inspectors can ensure accurate analysis. If asbestos or lead is present, inspection will determine the dangers and the need for either removal, enclosure, repair or encapsulation. Reports are thorough, detailing both results and inspection conditions. Following inspection, EEI is fully qualified to handle abatement and disposal.
